Stronger Together!

United Christians was established to unify and to edify the Body of Christ. Christianity and our biblical values are the bedrock of society. Throughout History the Body of Christ, which is the Church, has survived many trials and tribulations, built up many nations free of tyranny and has brought freedom and prosperity to many people.

The Bible teaches us that the Body of Christ is made out of many different members. God being creative, gave different works and ministries to his people in order to fulfill His plan throughout the world. Though these different parts might be different in their task and appearance, we are all called to work together as one.

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. […] If one part suffers, all the parts suffer together with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts rejoice together with it.“ 1 Corinthians 12:12-26

United Christians is bringing the different parts of the church together in one place to show the big picture of the beautiful and multifaceted Body of Christ. Jesus emphasises that his desire for the believers is to be unified in love.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34–35

Today we see a lot of division in the church. This often comes from a lack of love and understanding of the different callings God gave to the church. Paul reminds the Christians in Ephesus that we are one in Christ and that we have to work to maintain unity:

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:2–3

We are called to walk in unity that was forged on the cross, because together we are stronger.
